Today's Goo page is dedicated to Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff, who penned this incredibly stupid op-ed piece in the National Post, Canada's national racist rag.
International law defines "apartheid" as a crime against humanity. Labelling Israel as an "apartheid" state is a deliberate attempt to undermine the legitimacy of the Jewish state itself.
Hogwash. Poppycock. Bullplop. Nobody with ½ a brain is questioning the legitimacy of the state of Israel. What they are saying is that Israel is behaving like that infamous apartheid state of several decades ago. There is a difference you big brained moron.
First let's look at the Israeli siege on Gaza, now 4 years old, starving the people and creating a ghetto, not unlike the Warsaw ghetto.
Then let's take a moment to remember the three week war on Gaza just last year; 1,400 Palestinans killed, 5,500 injured, 30% of them children. A flour mill destroyed; the water treatment plant destroyed; school yards bombed with white phosphorous.
Or let's look at the ugly security wall, or the jewish only road network through the West Bank, the eviction of Arabs from their generational home in East Jerusalem, or all the illegal settlements in the West Bank.
Looks like apartheid to me Mr. Ignatieff. But apparently we common folks don't think like you highend thinkers, which is why you so deserve your own GOO page.
